No pattern.just beeps and black screen. ![]() CPUs yet) - ive understood the PSU could be faulty. With this board K8N Master2-FAR MS-9620 (v1.X) the manual recommends a minimum 600w supply as well as a -5V pin supply (page 2-8 of the manual) Any education and advice on which PSUs in the current market are compatible for this board is greatly appreciated. ![]() Original PSU was 550W Cooler Master RS-550-ACLY Thank you so much, and i do hope that the PSU is the issue and not the board. Thank you Svet. Check it out. Got some feedback from MSI Tech Support - they said this: Dear Customer, Unfortunately this board is end of life and can no longer be serviced, try swapping THE ram, video card and power supply also try each CPU in CPU1 socket. I say this: Can you recommend a compatible PSU for this mother board Product Serial: B05090 Product Name: K8N Master2-FAR They say: Any current 450Watt ATX power supply with an 8 pin aux 12V connector and a min 20 amps on the 12V output should do fine. I found this: Thoughts Ok, so.while waiting for PSU to come i removed all components and brought it down to the bare board and cleaned all dust. Process as follows yielding all same results with new PSU - just beeps and no post signal: 1) single cpu, single ram stick, single graphics card - results: beeps, no post 2)swapped out single stick - results: beeps, no post 3)went back to 1, replaced cpu - results: beeps, no post 4) kept cpu in from step 3, replaced graphics card - results: beeps, no post 5) added additional ram stick from step 4 - results: beeps, no post What do you guys think What should i do next Is there something that will let me better diagnose this issue Thanks in advance. Computer worked no problem before, for a solid couple years - pretty mcuh sat for a while broke it down to troubleshoot: 1 cpu, new 1000 watt psu, 1 ram stick, 1 graphics card. Interchanged out each individually and tested after each swap out - same results. Would the case front panel connections cause issues But this was having same issues in first case (just didnt have a speaker connected to board to hear any beeps) maybe i should disconnect the case connections and then try booting without it connected Ill try that, but at the same time - ive been hunting for another compatible motherboard to support the devices.with these being from 20052006 and technology advancing so fast - finding similar ATX board, with dual socket 940 opterons and SLI ready capability is a bear. MOBO was out of case, but decided to dismount from HAF XB Midtower cube mobo panel after svets post. Booted without sticks and single CPU, same consistant beeping. Had bought new CPUs (same series and model as originals) off ebay - tryed those with 1 stick of ram, same consistant beeping. Had found another reasonably priced K8N Master2 - FAR on ebay and am waiting for that to come in as I belie the mobo has pooped out after all that. As for bad caps on the MOBO, i dont exaclt know what id be looking for.
